WOW! It has been a while since I posted anything personal. I feel like I’ve let down my kids in documenting their lives but the only excuse that I have is that I’ve been enjoying them in the moment. So the other day I was in the house while the kids played outside and Drew came in through the door like Kramer.
“Mom! You HAVE to come and take a picture of us outside!”
I was about to say in a minute or I will in a sec but by the way she demanded me to I knew I had to right then. So I got my camera and went out and I found my kids posing for me. They make me laugh so much! I knew that if I hadn’t of went out right when Drew said to I would’ve missed out on something precious.
I get so caught up in my work sometimes that I tend to put what’s most important to me on the back burner. I get much needed reminders like this to put me in my rightful place. I love my kids so much! I know I wouldn’t me the photographer I am today if it wasn’t for them.

I’m SO excited to post these engagement photos!! I grew up with Kate, the kind of grow up that you don’t remember when you met this person, you’ve just always known them. My late dad was really good friends with Kate’s dad and she and her whole family have a special place in our families heart. So when I say I’m excited to post these photos it’s not just the pictures but the people, Ammon and Kate, and that I’m excited to introduce them to you! It was the first time I met Ammon and just from those couple of hours we spent together I couldn’t have pictured Kate with anybody less worthy. I hope that sounded like the compliment I meant it to be. Ammon it was a compliment I was trying to give to you! :)
Congratulations Ammon and Kate on your engagement and I can’t wait for you guys to tie the knot!
Mason is a cool kid, what can I say? He turned 1 a little while ago and I think he’s going on 4! He loves to talk and jabber to you and I know he knows what he’s talking about! He and his dad and mom, Curtis and Christina were so fun to photograph and good family friends.
