Monthly Archives: July 2011I had the privilege to second shoot for my friend, Meili, at her very first wedding. Since I was just the second I was able to play around with my film camera. Something I do not yet have the alas to do as the main photographer. Here’s a little sneaky peeky of the beautiful couple on some beautiful film. But seriously go check out Meili and her gorgeous work!
Do you know how hard it is to run a birthday party and try to document it? HARD! My wonderful sister at the Salt Pineapple , knew that and so she had me be the official photographer and take picture while she ran the show. It was all shot on some cheap 100 iso film hence the yellow tint but how awesome does that look? No photoshop actions here! Just pure film awesomeness! Go tell Nikki how awesome her party looks!
Whenever it’s time for Alia’s nap or for bedtime Kurt always sings to Alia a song he made up and it goes like this “Go to sleep. Baby Goose. Go to sleepy my baby… (and right about here she’s screaming “no” and running away) “Go to sleep. Baby Goose. My darling, loving one…. (right here he’s caught her) Go to sleep. Baby Goose. Go to sleepy my babe. (here he’s taking her up stairs) Go to sleepy now my darling baby. Go to sleep my Goose.” (and now he puts her in the bed and runs out before she can get out herself) The next few minutes is spent with Alia screaming out the bottom of the door and banging on it. She eventually falls asleep for a well needed nap. Well needed for both parents and herself. They’re so cute when they’re asleep!
