Splash Pad

Summer is gone and I’m mourning it’s passing.  I find myself finding pockets of sunlight in my home and laying there just to feel the warmth.  Maybe I have a deficiency and it’s the way my body is telling me I need vitamin D or something.  Anyways…

This day at the splash pad I had just learned I got the job I had applied for, working for Jon Canlas. To celebrate I shot a whole roll of film.  It seems silly but normally I would’ve made two or three images and called it good, to conserve on money and film.  But I wanted to splurge, because I could now afford it.

Since then, I’ve become more liberal with shooting film and I shoot more often as well.  Between working at the FIND lab for Jon, and the people I work with, going to school for photography, editing images everyday and immersing myself in photography, I’ve noticed a huge improvement.

I actually love my photography.
