Makayla | Cedar City Ut

Oh my AMAZING!! I am completely in love with every. single. photo. Makayla is my niece on my husbands side and she was my first model two years ago. Two years almost exactly so it’s perfect that she marks my 2nd anniversary. We may have to make this a yearly tradition to show my progress as a photographer and Makayla’s as a model. I kept myself from posting every picture so you should check the entire session out here.

Casey + Shannon

Casey and Shannon are getting married in October! I’m so excited for these two! We were going to photograph up Cedar Canyon but then the rain came tumbling down and hard. We were going to postpone the session till the next day but as we drove back into town, off the mountain, the sun was shinning brightly and there wasn’t a drop of rain in the sky. So we decided the shoot was still a go and we photographed at the mouth of the canyon. The sky was gloomy and made for some dramatic effect and the wind was blowing so we got some awesome wind-blown-hair pictures that I love so much! Overall such a fun shoot and such a great couple! I’m so excited to photograph their wedding in Springdale next month! Congrats you two!

G Family

It doesn’t get any better than newborn AND family portraits. Especially when you have a beautiful family like the “G” family. This was one of my first all film shoots and I have to say this session has made me even more addicted to film (if that’s possible) then I was before. We went to a park in Cedar City for the session and I’m so glad we did because all the green background really makes this family with their light eyes really pop! Also this family was able to play and interact with each other as if they were really enjoying a day at the park. No setup here except for an area to be themselves, a beautiful family with a spunky-almost-6-year-old, and lots of love!

Thank Heaven For little girls!

Rae Overson, the owner of the most quaint Bed in Breakfast in Cedar City, called Cherished Memories, asked me to photograph her five adorable granddaughters. They were so cute, full of life and were the best little models ever! I didn’t direct them one bit but you can see how darling they posed themselves. Thanks Rae for inviting me to your beautiful B&B to photograph your little girls!

If you are ever in Cedar City, UT or passing by I highly recommend staying there!
