Light + Film | Highland UT

I love to look for light.  As a photographer you need to learn to see light like your camera does.  It takes a while to actually see it but I’m getting it more and more.  My favorite, in terms of light, is the one of Brody.  I actually just photographed a family session a few days ago at this spot in my house and not down stairs in my studio.  Where is it exactly?  In my kitchen.  I moved our table out and put my subjects right up against the wall.  It’s the perfect spot for light in evening but not so perfect for tall people.  The couple actually hit their head on our light fixture.  :(  Be checking back for the results of that session, soon!

Some of my favorite work yet!  All film.

Drew

I’m SUPER excited about this post!  It was my first “unofficial” entire film shoot.  I took Drew out, she got to choose what she wore, how I did her hair, and where she wanted the pictures taken.  Then I just followed her, not directing her, and captured the moments as they came.  Then we bumped into her friend Sydney from school.  She was with her dad and brothers fishing.  Drew asked if she could fish and… and I’ll let the rest speak for itself.  This may be my favorite post to date!
