Clouds

I’m done with the spring semester! Hip hip hooray!! I am, however, going to miss the friends I have made in all my classes and just overall learning.

I took a meteorology class this semester and one of my favorite topics was clouds. As part of an extra credit assignment we could take photos of clouds and document what they were doing over a 30 min. period. Kurt and I were on a date and as soon as we walked out of the Blue Lemon, we noticed these clouds. They were a wispy star shaped pattern that stretched across the sky.  Just wanted to share the love I had for these clouds.

Coptic Stitch | Bookbinding

For my bookbinding class I made this book with a coptic stitch bind. The next time I make a book I really need to record my steps or photograph it so a) I won’t forget and b) you all can try it too.  Bookbinding is so fun because you get to be creative with your materials. This one became a present for my sister, Breana, who had a birthday 10 days ago.

Photoshopped Polaroid | Personal

In my digital imaging class I took this picture from Snow Canyon and made it into a polaroid and then added a seventies color to it.  After that I found a texture and put the texture over the picture to give it that run down look. Kinda fun.  :)

Light + Film | Highland UT

I love to look for light.  As a photographer you need to learn to see light like your camera does.  It takes a while to actually see it but I’m getting it more and more.  My favorite, in terms of light, is the one of Brody.  I actually just photographed a family session a few days ago at this spot in my house and not down stairs in my studio.  Where is it exactly?  In my kitchen.  I moved our table out and put my subjects right up against the wall.  It’s the perfect spot for light in evening but not so perfect for tall people.  The couple actually hit their head on our light fixture.  :(  Be checking back for the results of that session, soon!
